Being separated from your best gal pals can be really difficult. I know its just part of “growing up” and following different opportunities after college, but let’s be honest here…it stinks.
It’s especially sucky when you’re more than a road trip away.
If I wanted to take a weekend trip to visit any of my closest girlfriends from college or before, I’d have to fly. Which isn’t always feasible when you’re living on a budget.
I suppose I must also admit that I’m terrible at keeping up with people on a daily basis. We text every so often about something random or interact in small ways on social media, but it’s easy to let real communication fall to the wayside when we all seem to be so busy.
So I’ve had to get creative with how I stay connected to everyone I love.
One of my favorite ways to show love is with little care packages. Nothing fancy – just a little something that says “I’m thinking about you. I love you. I miss you. Sorry I’m awful about connecting regularly.”
And what better time to send a little love to friends than on Leslie Kope’s favorite day of the year!
Here’s the deal, I’ve been hard-core procrastinating all the work on my desk by looking at fun gifts for Galentines day. If I’m online shopping for other people, it can’t really be a bad thing, right?
So once I had accidentally come up with this long list of cool gift ideas, I thought maybe I should share them here so that you can benefit from my procrastination too.
Almost everything on the list is $20 or less (did I mention ya girl’s on a budget?) and I broke it down by category to keep things fun. And even if you’re at an “I can only afford to eat rice and beans” stage of life, I’ve got a solution for you too – just scroll to the end of this post!
*I’m not making any kind of commission off the items on this list nor have I tried all of them out myself, its just stuff I thought was cool. You can tell I spend a lot of time on Etsy. *

For my girls with no side money to spend on gifts, fear not.
Showing people we’re thinking about them doesn’t have to cost money so you shouldn’t feel bad if you can’t afford to send gifts.
Instead, try sending a card!
You could go the digital route and send a sweet text the day of (totally cool if that’s all you want to do or can handle right now) but there’s just something so fun about getting snail mail, right?
In my “real life” I’m a graphic designer, so in further procrastination efforts I designed a few fun Galentines cards that you can download here.
All you have to do is download, print, write a little message, put in an envelope, and send!
If you want to get really fancy you can have them printed somewhere like Office Depot on thicker cardstock paper or try cutting out the cards and glue sticking them to thicker piece of construction paper and make it look like a neat DIY project.
Just have fun with it and send out some Galentine’s Day love.

And if you have any other ideas, drop them in the comments – the more the merrier!
Happy Galentine’s Day, my friends!

Thank you! Omg I’d never heard of them before but just looked at the site and their products are so cute. When Zach and I can finally get a dog, I’m only going to wear clothes with his/her face on it forever.
