I told you that Zach and I drove up to Canada to celebrate our anniversary last month but I haven’t shared what really sparked our decision to go then rather than waiting until warmer months.
The real reason I wanted to go in December was…

The Dr. Seuss Experience

I read about this exhibit a few months before it opened and was determined that I absolutely had go.
To be honest I didn’t really know much about the exhibit except that it would have these oversized Seuss experience rooms, but that was enough for me.
So we booked our tickets and planned our anniversary trip!

When the date finally came, I have to admit that was a little annoyed by all the kids there.
I know, I know, Dr. Seuss is for children after all. But it was like when they release sequels to kids movies that came out when we were young and you push a bunch of 8-year-olds out of your way at the movie theater to get the best seats…it’s your childhood!
Anyways, we wore our best “patience is a virtue” hats and still had a great time.

I did expect it to be a little more of a true exhibit where there was information about Theodor Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss) and the books I remember reading when I was young…This is definitely more of what I call and “Instagram experience” where things are set up just for photo ops rather than being a real exhibit.
But again, we had a lot of fun goofing around in each room and pretending to be kids again.

I think the exhibit is open until March (and I’m not sure if it’s traveling anywhere else after it closes in Mississauga, Ontario) but if you have the chance to go, it’s definitely a fun way to spend a few hours.
