I only had about 24 hours to spend in Salzburg when I visited and it was a super quick trip, but I couldn’t be so close to Salzburg and not go. I didn’t have a lot of expectations, just a shameful amount of excited for the Sound of Music tour, but I really fell in love with the city.

One Day in Munich
We only had about 24 hours in the city but we definitely made the most of it. If you’re short on time like we were, it’s a great itinerary for a first taste of the city.
A Weekend in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany
During my trip to Germany, we spent the first few days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen where my friend is living and nearby attractions in this part of the country. I’m not sure I could pick a favorite – the mix of breathtaking nature and extravagant palaces makes it too difficult!
Highlights: Germany +Austria
I had never thought of Germany as being one of the European countries at the top of my must-see list, but I was blown away by it all. The landscape is gorgeous, the cities are some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen, and the list of things to do is never ending.
The Beginning
